Closing Bell 09 Aug- Sensex closed at record high, Nifty closed at 11470

On Thursday, the Domestic Stock Market closed once again on the new record high level. Sensex and Nifty closed at new record levels due to buying in banking, financial services, and realty stocks. The Sensex closed at the record level of 38,024 with a surge of 137 points. The Nifty climbed 21 points to close at 11,471 level. Heavyweight ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Infosys, SBI, ITC and the market support to the market with gains. 

During the trading session, the Sensex made the all-time high of 38076.23, while the Nifty touched the level of 11,495.20. There are more than 1350 shares positive on the BSE.

Mid-caps and Smallcap stocks seem in buying mode. BSE mid-cap index has climbed more than 0.5 percent, while the Nifty100  mid-cap index rose 0.5 percent. BSE smallcap index jumped 0.3 percent.

During the trading session, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Hindalco, SBI, Vedanta, and NTPC were top gainers. However, Bharti Airtel, Cipla, Titan, ONGC, ULL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank and L & T were the top loser.
