Market Update- Small-caps & mid-caps outperform, 58 stocks rise 10-40%

Bulls managed to keep an upper hand in a week which witnessed wild swings on either side. The S&P BSE Sensex rallied 0.8 percent while the Nifty50 witnessed a rise of 1.05 percent for the week ended December 14.

However, what really stood out was the broader market which outperformed benchmark indices. The BSE Midcap index rose 3.2 percent while the S&P BSE Small-cap index ended 2.8 percent higher on weekly basis.

As many as 58 stocks in the S&P BSE Small-cap index rose 10-40 percent in the week gone by which include names like Welspun Enterprises, Dhampur Sugar, United Bank of India, Dish TV, BEML, Timken India, Can Fin Homes, Nitco, PC Jeweller, Reliance Naval, and Tata Steel etc. among others.

Sensex nears 36,000, Nifty above 10,800 amid volatility; Yes Bank gains

Benchmark indices continued to consolidate in morning, which was on expected lines said technical analysts.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 14.52 points to 35,944.16 and the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 1.50 points at 10,793.

The market breadth was in favour of bulls as about 780 shares advanced against 661 declining shares on the BSE.

The rupee depreciated by 5 paise to 71.73 on the forex market as the American currency strengthened, while the domestic equity market traded marginally higher.

Forex traders said strengthening of the US dollar against some currencies overseas and caution ahead of RBI central board meeting under new Governor Shaktikanta Das, weighed on the local unit.

On Thursday the rupee appreciated by 33 paise to 71.68 per US dollar.

The Indian market closed at green note due to the positive signal of the global market. On Thursday, the Sensex climbed 150.57 points to close at 35929.64. In the Nifty 50, Indiabulls Housing Finance is the top gainer with 5.64 percent strength. On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv was 2.85 percent, Infosys 2.84 percent, HPCL 2.67 percent, and Maruti Suzuki 2.66 percent.

Today the global signal for the market seems strong note. Asian markets showing higher. At the same time, Dow has climbed more than 150 points in yesterday's trading session. Between these good global signals, the Indian market is showing growth today too. At present, the Sensex is trading around 36,000 and the Nifty is trading near to 10800.

Sensex and nifty higher in early trade. In today's trading, there is a great buying activity in mid and smallcap shares, with gains. BSE Smallcap index is showing an increase of about 1% at 14545.04 level. At the same time, the mid-cap index is showing an increase of 1.6 percent at the level of 15200.46.

Buying is also seen in banking stocks today. Bank Nifty is showing a gain of 0.72 percent at 26,836.05 level. Oil and gas stocks are also showing positive today. BSE oil and gas index is trading at a level of 13163.32, with an increase of 0.54 percent.

Except for pharma and metal, business is growing on all sectors today. Nifty's auto index is trading 0.4 percent, IT index 0.1 percent, FMCG index 0.8 percent, and Realty index 0.8 percent.

However, during this trading session, metal, and pharma index are showing up in the benchmark. Nifty pharma index is trading 0.1 percent and the metal index is 0.05 percent weak.

At the moment, the 30-share BSE Sensex index is trading around 36,000 level, with an increase of about 220 points (0.6%). On the other hand, NSE 50-share index Nifty is trading 56 points, which is up 0.5 percent, is trading around 10800.

Shares have closed lower, amid caution ahead of RBI’s monetary policy committee meeting outcome on Wednesday. Uncertainty over US-China trade truce has also weighed on indices.

Additionally, rise in crude oil prices as well as some negative moves on the rupee impacted the market too.

Among sectors, weakness was visible among automobiles, banks, consumption and infrastructure names, while IT and pharma index ended in the green. The Nifty Midcap index was lower by around one-third of a percent.

At the close of market hours, the Sensex closed down 106.69 points or 0.29% at 36134.31, while the Nifty was lower by 14.30 points or 0.13% at 10869.50. The market breadth is negative as 1154 shares advanced, against a decline of 1393 shares, while 143 shares were unchanged.

Asian shares rallied on Monday after U.S. and Chinese leaders brokered a truce in their trade conflict. Oil prices surged around 4% after Washington and Beijing agreed a 90-day trade truce and ahead of the Opec meeting this week that is expected to result in a supply cut. 17 stocks rise 20-171% as Sensex posts best November gain since 2012

The S&P BSE Sensex defied history in the year 2018. The index rose 5.08 percent in November to post its best month since 2012 when it rose 4.1 percent. It rallied 9.8 percent in the year 2009, and 2.99 percent in 2014.

The bears were largely in control of D-Street in October and in September but fall in crude oil prices towards $60/bbl as well as sharp appreciation in the rupee which rose 5.5 percent against the Dollar, and not to forget dovish commentary from US Fed which led to money flowing into risky assets.

Morgan Stanley’s overweight stance, as well as HSBC upgrading to Neutral from Underweight, also added to optimism. Another factor which contributed to the rally was foreign investors which turned net buyers in November.

Closing bell: Sensex, Nifty end marginally higher; Yes Bank up nearly 6%

The BSE Sensex closed 23.89 points, or 0.07%, up at 36,194.30 after shuttling between 36,389.22 and 36,082.97. The Nifty 50 ended 22.05 points, or 0.20%, higher at 10,880.75. During the day, the Nifty hit a high of 10,922.45 and a low of 10,835.10.The broader strength of the market was positive. The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices rose over 0.5%. Among the sectoral indices on BSE, realty, pharma and IT led gained by rising 1% to 1.96%. Telecom, oil and gas, energy and bankex declined most.Yes Bank, M&M, Wipro, Sun Pharma and Cipla were among the top gainers on the key indices, whereas HPCL, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank and Vedanta were major losers.

Live Market Update- Sensex up 160 points, nifty around 10,910

Global signals are looking weak at the beginning of the December series. Today there is a mixed business in Asia but the SGX Nifty has a slight uptick.

In yesterday's trade, the brakes took a 3-day rally in the US market and Dao closed 27 points down. Yesterday the US markets closed with a slight decline.

Trump statement on China remains uncertain on the trade deal. Trump has said that there is every possibility of a deal with China. He further said that he does not know what kind of deal he wants with China. Between these signals today the beginning of the Indian markets has been faster.

Sensex and Nifty moves in early trading Nifty is seen around 10910, while the Sensex is showing around 36330. Smallcap stocks are seen in the market today as well as in the smallcap stocks. Buying activity in mid-cap stocks is also being seen today. BSE  Smallcap index has surged by more than 0.16 percent to 14375. BSE mid-cap index is trading 0.33 percent higher than the index.

Rupee breaks 70 / dollar level in intra-day trade, 74 paisa stronger

Rupee broke the level of 70 during intra-day trading on Thursday. Due to the dollar's selling by exporters and softening of crude prices, the rupee gained 74 paise to 69.88 per dollar, which was its highest level of three months. Earlier, the rupee strengthened at the Interbank Foreign Exchange, opened at 70.15 level compared to the dollar and strengthened in a while.

The dollar weakened by US Fed statement

Forex dealers said that the US dollar weakened compared to the other overseas taxation by the US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's statement on the benchmark interest rate being at the neutral level.

Crude also got support from softness

Traders said that the rupee is also getting support from rising foreign fund inflow and softening of crude prices. Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth Rs 961.26 crore on Wednesday.

In the global market, international benchmark Brent Crude is trading 0.14 percent down at $ 58.68 a barrel.

The bank had told the BSE in a filing a day earlier that the names of the new CMDs will be considered in the board meeting on December 13 and afterward the recommendation will be sent to the RBI.

सेंसेक्स 159 अंक मजबूत होकर 35513 पर बंद, निफ्टी 10680 से ऊपर, TCS 2.65% चढ़ा

Stock Market: इन्फोर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी (IT) और पीएसयू बैंक स्टॉक्स में खरीददारी के दम पर सेंसेक्स 159 अंक मजबूत होकर 35513 के स्तर पहुंच गया। वहीं निफ्टी 57 अंक बढ़कर 10685.60 पर बंद हुआ। मार्केट को टीसीएस, आरआईएल और इन्फोसिस जैसे स्टॉक्स में बढ़त से काफी सहारा मिला। इसके अलावा सरकार के फंड इनफ्यूजन की खबर से ज्यादातर पीएसयू बैंकों में मजबूती दर्ज की गई।

 
फंड इनफ्यूजन प्लान से चढ़े सरकारी बैंक

सरकार द्वारा फंड इनफ्यूजन की खबरों से सरकारी बैंकों के स्टॉक्स में 1 फीसदी तक की मजबूती दर्ज की गई। इस खबर से बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, यूनियन बैंक, सिंडीकेट बैंक, पीएनबी, सेंट्रल बैंक, ओरिएंटल बैंक 1.50 से 2 फीसदी मजबूती के साथ बंद हुए। 

 

3.31% टूटा सन फार्मा का शेयर

अमेरिका की एक अदालत में चल रहे एंटीट्रस्ट मुकदमे में समझौते की खबर से सन फार्मा के शेयर में बड़ी गिरावट दर्ज की गई। 2 फीसदी के साथ मजबूती ओपनिंग के बाद आई इस खबर से शेयर में भारी बिकवाली देखने को मिली। सेशन के अंत में शेयर 3.31 फीसदी गिरकर बंद हुआ।

RIL-TCS जैसे हैवीवेट्स से मार्केट को मिला सपोर्ट

निफ्टी 50 की बात करें तो इन्फोसिस में सबसे ज्यादा लगभग 2 .81 फीसदी की मजबूती के साथ 638.90 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ। इसके अलावा बीपीसीएल 2.49 फीसदी, बजाज फिनसर्व 2.48 फीसदी, टाटा कंसल्टैंसी 2.39 फीसदी और एचसीएल टेक्नोलॉजिज 2.26 फीसदी चढ़कर बंद हुए। इसके अलावा रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज 1.66 फीसदी की तेजी के साथ 1128.20 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ।

सेंसेक्स 373 अंक बढ़कर बंद, निफ्टी 10600 से ऊपर, Hero MotoCorp 5.4% मजबूत

ज्यादातर एशियाई बाजारों के हरे निशान में खुलने और क्रूड की कीमतों में बड़ी गिरावट के बाद सोमवार को भारतीय शेयर बाजारों की अच्छी शुरुआत हुई। दिन भर उतारचढ़ाव के बाद सेंसेक्स में अच्छी मजबूती दर्ज की गई और सेंसेस्क 373 अंकों की मजबूती के साथ 35354 पर बंद हुआ। वहीं वहीं निफ्टी 101.85 अंकों की मजबूती के साथ 10628 पर बंद हुआ।

सबसे ज्यादा बढ़ने वाले स्टॉक

टॉप गेनर्स की बात करें तो हीरो मोटोकॉर्प में सबसे ज्यादा 5.42 फीसदी की मजबूती दर्ज की गई। इसके अलावा हिंदुस्तान यूनिलीवर लिमिटेड (एचयूएल) में 4.11 फीसदी, विप्रो में 3.70 फीसदी, एक्सिस बैंक 2.68 फीसदी फीसदी, एक्सिस बैंक और एशियन पेंट्स में 2.67 फीससदी की मजबूती रही।

यस बैंक 5 फीसदी कमजोर

निफ्टी 50 में यस बैंक सबसे ज्यादा 6 फीसदी की गिरावट के साथ खुला, हालांकि बाद में गिराव सीमित हो गई है और स्टॉक 3.91 फीसदी कमजोर होकर बंद हुआ। वहीं अन्य टॉप लूजर्स में ओएनजीसी, कोल इंडिया, सन फार्मा और डॉ. रेड्डीज लैब शामिल हैं, जिनमें 2 से 4 फीसदी के बीच गिरावट दर्ज की गई।

IT स्टॉक्स में बिकवाली से सेंसेक्स 275 अंक टूटा, निफ्टी 10600 के करीब बंद

इन्फोर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी (आईटी) सेक्टर में भारी बिकवाली के चलते बुधवार को शेयर बाजार (Share Bazar) में बड़ी गिरावट दर्ज की गई। सेंसेक्स 274.71 अंकों की कमजोरी के साथ 35199.80 पर बंद हुआ। वहीं निफ्टी 56.15 अंकों की गिरावट के साथ 10600.05 के स्तर पर आ गया। डॉलर के मुकाबले में रुपए में मजबूती से टीसीएस, इन्फोसिस सहित आईटी कंपनियों भारी बिकवाली से दिन भर मार्केट पर प्रेशर बना रहा।

रुपए में मजबूती से 4% तक टूटे आईटी स्टॉक्स

एक दिन पहले रुपए के दो महीने के हाई पर पहुंचने से इन्फोर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी (आईटी) कंपनियों के स्टॉक्स में भारी बिकवाली देखने को मिली। निफ्टी आईटी इंडेक्स में शामिल टाटा कंसल्टैंसी सर्विसेस (TCS) 3.47 फीसदी, इन्फोसिस 3.41 फीसदी, टेक महिंद्रा 2.54 फीसदी, निट टेक 2.49 फीसदी, एचसीएल टेक 2.44 फीसदी, विप्रो 2 फीसदी की गिरावट के साथ बंद हुए। इसके अलावा इंडेक्स के बाहर की यानी छोटी आईटी कंपनियों के स्टॉक्स में 5 फीसदी तक की गिरावट दर्ज की गई। 

डॉ. रेड्डीज के शेयर में 6.50 फीसदी की बढ़त

पेटेंट उल्लंघन के एक मामले में डॉ. रेड्डीज लैबोरेटरीज (Dr Reddy's Laboratories) को बड़ी राहत मिली है। कंपनी ने कहा कि अमेरिका में एक जेनेरिक दवा की बिक्री पर फार्मा कंपनी इंडीविओर द्वारा फाइल किए गए पेटेंट उल्लंघन के मामले में उसके पक्ष में फैसला आया है। इस खबर से डॉ. रेड्डीज का स्टॉक 8 फीसदी बढ़त के साथ खुला, हालांकि ट्रेडिंग सेशन के अंत में 5.90 फीसदी की मजबूती के साथ 2,594.75 रुपए के स्तर पर क्लोज हुआ।

Sensex jumps 318 pts, Nifty ends above 10,750; RIL, ITC top index contributors

Ahead of the outcome of the crucial board meet of the Reserve Bank of India, the BSE Sensex rallied over 300 points to end Monday’s trade at over a six-week high of 35,774.88 points. The NSE Nifty surged 0.76% to end the trade at 10,763.40 points today. According to market observers, positive Asian markets, along with foreign fund inflows and healthy buying in most FMCG, metals, pharma, realty, media, and auto stocks kept the market sentiment upbeat.

A crucial meet of the RBI board is underway amid a rift between the central bank and the government over the future course of policies. The finance ministry nominees and some independent directors were expected to take on Patel and his team over issues ranging from MSME credit to the central bank’s reserves, though both sides are in favor of reaching a common ground, said a PTI report. Expectations of a positive outcome boosted market mood after the meeting began, it added.

Reliance Industries, ITC, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, L&T, TCS, IndusInd Bank, HDFC and Kotak Bank were among the top Sensex contributors today. Among the top drags were Asian Paints, Axis Bank, ONGC, State Bank of India, and ICICI Bank. Shares of private lender Yes Bank soared nearly 8% to Rs 205.50, registering biggest intraday percentage gain since November 1, after ICRA retained its issuer ratings.

Intraday Trading Tips- सेंसेक्स 101 अंक मजबूत, निफ्टी 10700 के ऊपर, यस बैंक 6% चढ़ा

एशियाई बाजारों में मिली-जुली शुरुआत के बाद भारतीय शेयर बाजारों की मजबूत ओपनिंग हुई। सोमवार को सेंसेक्स 160 अंक मजबूत खुला, लेकिन कुछ ही देर में बढ़ सीमित हो गई। फिलहा सेंसेक्स 100 अंकों की बढ़त के साथ 35560 पर कारोबार कर रहा है। वहीं निफ्टी 27 अंकों की बढ़त के साथ 10,700 के ऊपर बना हुआ है। निफ्टी में यस बैंक सबसे ज्यादा 6 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ कारोबार कर रहा है, वहीं ग्रेसिम, आयशर मोटर्स, वेदांता लिमिटेड और हिंडाल्को में 1.50 से 3 फीसदी के बीच मजबूती बनी हुई है।

सबसे ज्यादा गिरावट वाले शेयर

निफ्टी 50 के सबसे ज्यादा गिरावट वाले शेयरों में भारती एयरटेल टॉप पर रहा, जिसमें 3 फीसदी के आसपास गिरावट देखने को मिल रही है। इसके अलावा एचपीसीएल, बीपीसीएल, एक्सिस बैंक, ओएनजीसी में 0.60 से 1.50 फीसदी तक गिरावट बनी हुई है।

एशियाई बाजारों की मिली-जुली शुरुआत

इससे पहले अमेरिका और चीन के बीच टेंशन और ब्रेक्सिट को लेकर अनिश्चितता के चलते एशियाई बाजारों की मिली-जुली शुरुआत हुई। चीन का शंघाई कम्पोजिट 0.25 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ खुला, वहीं हॉन्गकॉन्ग के मार्केट में शुरुआती ट्रेड के दौरान 0.50 फीसदी की बढ़त दिख रही थी।

जापान का निक्की लगभग 0.44 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ ट्रेड कर रहा है। वहीं ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बेंचमार्क एएसएक्स में दोपहर के कारोबार के दौरान 0.68 फीसदी की गिरावट बनी हुई है। साउथ कोरिया का कोस्पी भी हरे निशान में बना हुआ है।

आरबीआई की बोर्ड मीटिंग पर मार्केट की नजर

आज स्टॉक मार्केट की चाल काफी हद तक रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) की बोर्ड मीटिंग पर रहेगी। बीते कई दिनों से सरकार और आरबीआई के बीच कुछ बैंकों के लिए पीसीए नॉर्म्स में नरमी और बैंकों की रेग्युलेटरी कैपिटल जरूरतों को अंतरराष्ट्रीय नॉर्म्स के अनुरूप बनाने को लेकर टकराव की स्थिति बनी हुई है। आरबीआई की बोर्ड मीटिंग में इन मुद्दों पर तस्वीर कुछ साफ हो सकती है।
